About Culted :
CULTED is a Gen-Z multimedia and cross platform entertainment company which launched mid 2019. We produce and publish content daily, at the speed of social media. This covers the latest news and trends from Gen-Z’s forward thinking perspective on fashion, sneakers, beauty, art, music, and youth culture. Our omnichannel approach, combined with the captivating content we produce, has helped us amass a fast-growing international audience. We are now looking for a skilled and talented London based Editorial Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
Core tasks and duties :
* Managing the day-to-day production of brand (paid) and our own content across all Culted and Culted Girl platforms and verticals. This will include existing franchises as well as pitches for new formats
* Managing a team of writers, content producers and social media executives to publish stories on web and social to tight daily deadlines, making sure content is published on time and as news breaks
* Review audience data with the Social Media Manager and react accordingly to ensure all content and audience growth targets are met by the end of each month
* Support the sign-off process, including proof reading, accuracy verification and image usage clearance
* Organising and managing the content calendar, suggesting updates in line with new trends/events
Skills :
* Strategically minded with strong editorial judgement and the ability to lead and inspire within a team
* Ability to capture tone and attention for a global audience through excellent knowledge of fashion and culture
* Able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment under high pressure alongside Social Media Manager
* Track record of creating viral content for a youth audience
* Thrives pitching ideas and bringing these ideas to life under tight deadlines, strong eye for detail
* Strong understanding of SEO best practice
* Ability to mix data and editorial instincts to forward plan content
* Ability to use Adobe, Photoshop, project management tools
The successful candidate :
* Will have 6+ years of experience in a similar role, experience in luxury and youth audiences an advantage
* Has proven record of excellent writing/social media content production for leading media brands, demonstrated in a professional portfolio
* Will enjoy mentoring a team of young creatives and working with a fast-growing media company
* Thorough knowledge of and experience in social media and engaging with audiences via the platform
* Excellent knowledge of the luxury fashion, culture, automotive and lifestyle industries with strong contacts
* Ability to transform copy into an engaging tone for Gen-Z
* Will have thorough understanding of all current social media platforms, especially those of interest to Gen-Z
* Will have a confident attitude when interviewing talent for both written and video content
