We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Waste Operative (Driver) to operate 7.5-tonne vehicles (C1 licence) and support a small team across our waste collection services. What you’ll do * Drive up to 7.5 tonne refuse collection vehicles (C1 licence) * Carry out daily vehicle checks and operate lifting equipment safely * Lead and support a small team of loaders * Move and manoeuvre bins, boxes and caddies * Use in-cab technology or paper records * Provide clear guidance to residents on waste and recycling * Maintain safe working practices and deal with contamination issues What we’re looking for Essential * C1 licence (up to 7.5 tonnes) * Valid Driver CPC * Digital tachograph holder * Able to walk several miles per day and undertake manual handling * Good customer service and communication skills * Able to manage and motivate a small team * Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities * Professional, tactful and reliable Desirable * WAMITAB qualification About the role * Outdoor work in all weather c...
