Job Role: Management AccountantReports to: General ManagerConnected Search Group is delighted to be working exclusively with a reputable and very successful, family-run business based in the Sheffield area.The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, managing a small team of finance admin staff, and assisting the Finance Manager in preparing accounts to trail balance. Additionally, the Management Accountant will play a crucial role in collaborating with external accountants during year-end accounts preparation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the financial success and strategic decision-making of our organization. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of accounts up to trial balance.Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.Assist the Finance Manager with month-end.Provide and review various reports to help the running of the business.Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Additional: Supervise and support a small team of finance admin staff, providing guidance and training as needed.Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of financial activities.Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the team.Work closely with external accountants to facilitate the preparation of year-end accounts. Provide necessary documentation and support during audits and reviews. Liaise with external stakeholders to address any financial inquiries or requests.Sage experience is required.Education:Part Qual, Qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA or Qualified by Experience£35k to £40k DOE
