Relief Security Officer role at Amberstone Security
We are looking for a reliable, confident, and keenly observant individual to serve as a relief security officer safeguarding multiple retail locations. Your date of employment will be part of a flexible relief schedule with varied shift patterns.
Base Pay Range
Hourly rate: £12.21 – £15.00, dependent on site. Location: Wrexham. Shift pattern: varied relief.
Responsibilities
* Patrol shop floor deterring criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, taking proactive action to minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Handle vulnerable persons with empathy, avoiding distress.
* Complete colleague and contractor searches per company policy.
* Digitally report incidents using tablets or phones.
* Maintain detailed, legible incident reports to assist client and local authorities.
The Person
Effective communication, patience with customers, ability to handle conflicts professionally, and ability to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents.
Required Experience and Qualification
Must possess a valid SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence. Previous retail security role experience is an advantage but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Applicants must provide a full 5‑year work or educational history with no gaps that cannot be explained, and bring right‑to‑work documents and proof of address to interview.
