Accounts Assistant
Based: Bury
Salary: up to £30k + benefits + progression
We are exclusively recruiting for a highly reputably & successful local Bury business looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic business to be a part of especially over the next few years as they continue their growth plans to become a leading UK brand in their industry. We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious and driven individual who is keen to progress and continue their studies going forward
Experience:
* Purchase ledger - ensure purchase invoices and credit notes are processed timely
* Petty cash & bank including day to day posting of transactions and weekly & monthly reconciliations.
* Sales ledger, allocation of payments and dealing with customer account queries.
* Credit control, including setting up new customer accounts, evaluating customer credit information.
* Reconciliation of deliveries and retailer debit notes - using different systems
* Preparing payment runs in line with cash flow.
* Assisting in the preparation of management accounts.
* Effective communication with all departments, working closely with Sales & Dispatch
* Upkeep of invoice filing system and ensuring best practice.
* Reconcile purchase ledger statements.
* Involved in various projects across new system and process implementations
Experience:
* At least 3 years experience in an all round finance role
* Ideally studying AAT and keen to continue learning & progressing
* Experience on SAGE beneficial, not essential
* Strong IT skills on Excel & Microsoft packages
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills
