Buss Murton Law LLP is a well-established and respected law firm with offices in Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality legal advice through our experienced and dedicated team.
We’re looking for a motivated Private Client Lawyer to join our friendly team in Cranbrook for a 9-month Maternity cover starting in Mid-November 2025. While based in Cranbrook, you’ll be part of our wider Private Client department, working collaboratively with colleagues across our offices.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
* Handle a broad range of private client matters: wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and lasting powers of attorney
* Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients
* Manage billing and cashflow effectively
* Meet targets for time recording, billing and cost recovery
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Promote the firm’s services and participate in marketing and networking activities
* Ensure compliance with Lexcel standards and regulatory obligations
👤 About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Enjoys working collaboratively but is confident working independently
* Is target-driven and committed to delivering results
* Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong client focus
* Embraces technology and continuous learning
* With experience in Private Client; ideally 2 years+ PQE although candidates not meeting this criterion but with the necessary experience, will be considered.

* Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
