The role
As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time—supporting the smooth running of essential projects that underpin national security and energy infrastructure.
This is a full-time, 37 hours per week role based in Warrington, Cheshire or Devonport, Plymouth with flexible working patterns available.
Day-to-day responsibilities
* Processing payroll data and supporting monthly payroll activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Checking and inputting timecards, resolving queries and discrepancies efficiently
* Supporting colleagues and stakeholders with payroll-related queries and administration
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with payroll processes and procedures
* Working collaboratively with the wider payroll team to meet deadlines and deliver a high-quality service
Essential experience of the Payroll Administrator
* Using Microsoft Excel with confidence, including functions such as VLOOKUP
* Working in a fast-paced administrative environment with high attention to detail
* Demonstrating adaptability and the ability to manage changing priorities
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders and team members
* Managing workload to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy
Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* Payroll or finance-related qualifications would be advantageous
* Previous payroll experience would be beneficial but not essential
Security Clearance
