Job Purpose and Summary
Canon UK are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Commercial Print team. In this role you will be defining, leading, planning, monitoring, controlling and delivering customer projects with the aim of completing these projects on-time, on-budget to the required quality and desired outcome of both the company and customer
You will:
* Coordinate customer projects according to the PRINCE-2 project management method, possibly from the demonstration of the project need until customer acceptance
* Define and manage the project within agreed timing, costs and quality level and define project scope definition, project plan and milestones
* Create and maintain project control documents & manages risk register
* Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management
* Achieve the commitment for availability of internal resources, build the project team
* Work within the Solution Delivery Process
* Manage involvement of solution architect, consultant specialist, customer trainer and local country partners with respect of the customer project
* Manage request for external resources quotation (along with Procurement and Account Manager)
* Key interface to the customer. The local project manager will participate in customer committees
* At customer acceptance, hand over the project deliverables and the project
* Keep up to date on project management methods and new developments
* Responsible for project documentation
