We’re looking for a friendly, professional, and compassionate individual to join our reception team at Powderham Veterinary Group — a well-established small animal practice on the outskirts of beautiful Torquay.
You will be the first point of contact for clients and the public both on the telephone and in person, demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable impression to promote the Practice.
We have 4 practices within our group, based in the Newton Abbot / Torquay area of South Devon. We sit directly between the spectacular Tors of Dartmoor and the un-rivalled South Devon Coastline with its fabulous beaches just a short hop away.
Powderham Veterinary Group has been established since 1981 and are well known for our kind, family feel practice. We are a dedicated, busy SA first opinion practice.
About You:
* Experience in the veterinary industry is ideal, but not essential.
* Proven background in customer-facing roles is a must — you care about giving clients the best possible service.
* You're empathetic and calm under pressure, with a professional and polite manner.
* Strong admin skills: confident using Word, Excel, and similar software.
* Experience with cash handling and accounts is a plus.
* Familiarity with veterinary Practice Management Systems is beneficial (training provided).
* Most importantly, you'll be a great fit for our supportive, close-knit team.
This is ideally a full-time role, however we are open to discussing flexible working. There are options to work either four long days or 5 shorter days, between the hours of 8 am – 6:30 pm. As part of a group of veterinary practices you will be required to join our shared Saturday morning rota, working at South Devon Veterinary Hospital.
