ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for an Interim Brand Manager on a fixed‑term contract (12‑14 months) commencing from Feb 2026.
The role will be responsible for a specific product portfolio of soft drinks within the wider Nichols PLC branded portfolio, developing and delivering brand and communications plans that support profitable growth.
It will also support the creation and development of the 1‑3 year brand plans for the route‑to‑market, contribute to consumer and customer marketing plans, trade media, customer sell‑ins, brand activations, and manage the marketing budget and monthly reporting.
The role will oversee NPD projects end to end, monitor monthly performance, and deliver market insights to ensure our brand integrity is protected while driving long‑term strategic engagement.
Working directly with key commercial and category stakeholders, you will deliver category‑leading brand plans, differentiated activations, and use insight to drive shopper engagement and conversion within customer environments.
THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE
* Acting as the Nichols PLC brand champion within the company and to external stakeholders.
* Driving profitable brand growth across portfolio areas, in line with the Group and Happier Future Strategies.
* Supporting the annual brand planning process.
* Managing implementation of consumer brand plans, ensuring timely, budget‑conforming activity that aligns with brand guidelines.
* Monitoring and reporting on brand performance using market and sales data, recommending remedial action as needed.
* Supporting the innovation pipeline and leading the launch of product development / NPD projects to market.
* Proposing research requirements, writing briefs, analysing results and recommending action.
* Managing the implementation of brand websites and social platforms in line with guidelines.
TO MAKE A SPLASH IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BRING
* At least 2 years of brand management experience in a reputable FMCG business (preferably Food & Drink) or equivalent senior marketing role.
* Channel experience in UK Grocery and ideally Out‑of‑Home markets (Leisure, Pubs/Bars/Restaurants, Hotels, Catering).
* Evidence of leading and delivering brand strategies and plans.
* Experience developing and managing customer plans and strategies.
* Experience with stage‑and‑gate innovation processes and leading cross‑functional teams to launch NPD projects on time and within budget.
* Experience briefing external agencies and assessing creative responses aligned with brand positioning.
* Experience delivering through‑the‑line consumer campaigns, including creative development, media and communications planning.
* Agency relationship management, mainly in trade (shopper and PR) and consumer marketing (research, media, communications, design).
* Commercial awareness (pricing/promotional strategies).
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
