Urgent Care Registered Nurse
Opportunity available for a Registered Nurse to work within an Urgent Care Centre across the West Midlands.
The team operates within an Urgent Care Centre. The role is primarily responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing services as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. You will work autonomously, with the Nurse Prescriber managing various clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, and well-man clinics. Additionally, you will support the management team in reviewing clinical policies and procedures.
You will have access to clinical supervision and a designated individual in the organization for general advice and support. The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion and wellbeing programs, as well as creating individual treatment plans for both acute and non-acute conditions. You will support the clinical team in managing chronic disease patients and identifying patients at risk of developing long-term conditions, aiming to prevent adverse health effects.
Providing routine nursing care in accordance with clinical evidence, NICE, and NSF guidelines is essential. You will also be able to prescribe medication within your scope of practice, review medication effectiveness, and ensure adherence to national guidance.
Hours for this role are full-time – days, nights, and weekends.
