Head Steward – Temporary Summer Contract in Farnborough
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Steward in Farnborough, working within a prestigious hospitality environment. This temporary contract runs from 23rd June through to mid-August, offering up to five days per week, daytime hours, weekly pay, and the potential for live-in accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
As the Head Steward, you will oversee the smooth operation of all stewarding and kitchen support functions, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout.
8. Supervise pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen teams
9. Coordinate dishwashing, silver cleaning, storage, and distribution of supplies
10. Monitor cleanliness and organisation of kitchens, workrooms, storerooms, and equipment
11. Manage kitchen supplies, equipment, and stock control
12. Assist with banquet and event preparations, including staffing requirements
13. Maintain inventory records for china, glassware, silverware, and equipment
14. Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
15. Help minimise wastage and maintain security of stock and equipment
What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Head Steward who can confidently lead a stewarding team in a busy hospitality environment.
16. Previous experience as a Head Kitchen Porter, Head Kitchen Porter, or Chief Steward
17. Strong leadership and organisational skills
18. Experience managing kitchen support operations and stock control
19. Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment
20. Available to work the full temporary contract from June through to August
21. A positive and proactive approach to teamwork
