Building Control Surveyor (Class 2A or Higher)
Location: Hybrid – Home Counties
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 to 6 Months Initially
Rate: £55 per hour (Inside IR35)
We are currently seeking experienced Building Control Surveyors (Class 2A or above) to support a Local Authority on an interim basis. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to a proactive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and approve Full Plans, Building Notices, and Regularisation applications in accordance with Building Regulations and associated legislation
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and statutory requirements
• Provide expert advice to developers, architects, and the general public on building control matters
• Investigate and resolve reports of dangerous structures and unauthorised works
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support the delivery of safe and compliant developments
• Keep up to date with changes in legislation, technical guidance, and best practices
