Equans is looking for a Water Hygiene Maintainer to join our team in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Water Hygiene Maintainer you will carry out planned preventative maintenance and minor repairs reactive repairs, temperature monitoring, flushing of water systems. To assist Maintenance Craftspersons and Technicians as/when required.

What will you deliver?
1. To support the Estates management in providing a 24-hour maintenance service within the hospital
2. To assist in the laid down audit survey and testing regime throughout all buildings on site
3. Undergo specialist training to meet the needs of the service
4. Carry out numerous PPM & reactive tasks involving water systems & equipment
5. To maintain work documents and records accurately
6. Complete National Pool Operators course
7. Work in areas occupied by patients and staff, having regard for the Health & Safety of occupants within that area
8. Cleaning, labouring, and driving tasks associated with Estates maintenance as instructed
9. To assist craftsperson/s with 2-person man tasks
10. Carry out duties independently without routine supervision
11. To carry a radio or pager to facilitate immediate response
12. Work as part of a multi-skilled team providing an efficient estates service
13. May be incorporated into the shift system

Who are we looking for?
25. NVQ or equivalent experience
26. Basic IT Skills
27. Previous work within in a healthcare environment (desirable)
28. Basic knowledge of mutliple trades (desirable)
29. A willingness to learn and undertake courses to further develop skills
30. Proactive approach to problem solving
31. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
32. A flexible and adaptable approach
33. Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
This role includes a standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
