Mainresponsibilities of the Job
A global onlinegaming and betting organisation are looking to introduce amultiskilled Workplace Services Engineer to join their UK WorkplaceManagement team. There is a primary focus on responding to reactiveworks ensuring the business remains compliant with regard to theWorkplace and to support the team around resourcing the appropriateM&E supplies/services.
You will carryout predominately fabric and planned maintenance tasks as well asminor works and project support across the clients UK corporateestate currently including 3 main offices. You will ensure thatmaintenance tasks are carried out on time including self deliveredsub contracted and those managed by the Landlord/Build Managementteams where appropriate. Youll have the opportunity to be involvedin PPM scheduling as well as being involved in the sourcing andonboarding of new suppliers. You will have a keen eye for healthand safety as well as best practice working methods and always beready to support the Workplace management team at a momentsnotice.
Job Description /Main Purpose
On the tools ( 20%)
* Whilst not carryingout physical work youll be responsible for maintaining the UK PPMplanner on the Concerto system.
* You will berequired to complete a number of mandatory training modules forboth the client and Pareto to ensure youre up to speed on bothcompanies policies and procedures
* You will beasked to create concise and compelling business cases whenrequesting significant spend to replace or repair equipment.
* Youll become an expert with our internalsystems including but not limited to;
o ConcertoPPM Scheduling
o Sharepoint Internal webpage forthe Workplace department
o ServiceNow Ourreactive tasktracker
* Youll buildrelationships with key stakeholders across Pareto and the clientincluding our Finance colleagues End User Support (EUS) colleaguesand the rest of the Workplace Managementteam.
* Youll work with the Workplace Managementteam to ensure all works that may cause disruption have acommunication plan in place.
* Youll be seen as aresponsible leader in your field who can stand in when required andsupport the management team in a variety of situations includingdisaster recovery and other emergencysituations.

Vocational and Technical Skills
Essential
Must have ageneral understanding and competency around typical buildingservices issues including but not limited to HVAC issues leakspower failures and emergencyprocedures.
Desirable
IOSHPASMA and IPAF training would be desirable but training can begiven.. Previous experience with a SAFECONTRACTOR approvedbusiness.
Experience
The jobholder will be required to have experience within buildingmaintenance and construction working practices and proceduresespecially matters concerning Health &Safety.

You must be able to communicate clearlyand confidently verbally and in writing as an expert in your fieldwith stakeholders from all levels including workplace team membersvisitors and Director level clientpersonnel.

Communication
Communication is oral / written and mostlyinternal with the site manager and clients staff. Communication isgenerally straight forward. From time to time the job holder willliaise with contractors working inside of the clients sites orareas of responsibility and at times with visitors.
Liaison
The clients imagecan be affected by the job holders dealings with visitors and themedia. While in dealings with the clients personnel at all levelscosts and operational efficiency are influenced the post holderalso has a requirement to liaise with inspectors and governingbodies that may come to the client sites or areas ofresponsibility.

Work is allocated to the jobholder who in most cases decides how to tackle it sometimes withthe help of specifications and drawings. There is consultationwithin the team regarding the work plan. From time to time the jobholder is requested to change work priorities. Routine decisionsare made daily based either on personal experience own initiativeor following discussions with a member of the Workplaceteam.
Original thought and problemsolving
Many tasks involve original thought.Common problems arising are usually technical in nature and aresolved independently using your experience and knowledge andsometimes there is a need for design. On occasion help will besought from the Workplace Management team or the clients appointedcontact regarding unusual problems.
Concentration
There is aneed to always be alert but a particularly high level ofconcentration is required when working on machinery and specificdetail needs to be paid to Health & Safety guidelines.
The clients unique environment requires extraconcentration and due diligence to Health and Safety and lockingprocedures especially with regard to working in or around anytechnical equipment or server rooms. On occasion during anemergency a lone working environment may exist and due diligence tolone working procedures must be always adhered to.
Flexibility
Tasks cover awide range of activities. The number of interruptions daily is veryvariable. These are always from internal sources usually theclients Workplace team or other Pareto staff. Depending onpriorities the job holder will either respond immediately or dealwith the matter at a later date. The post holder may be asked tocarry out tasks outside of their general duties.
Working Conditions
The jobholder is required to work in a variety of conditions these may beoutside in the presence of adverse weather conditions personal risk(especially with machines) noise (eg machinery) and pollution (eg.dust). All practical and possible steps will be taken to mitigaterisk and the job holder will be required to regularly review RAMSfor Workplace tasks and from Contractors. There may also be arequirement to work unsociable hours including evenings andweekends but this will be limited to only when absolutely necessaryi.e. in the event of an emergency or for planned noisy/disruptivework
