HR Generalist
Location: High Wycombe Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our UK Head Office in High Wycombe. Supporting a sales-driven, fast-paced distribution business, you will provide hands-on operational and advisory HR support to employees and managers across three UK legal entities and four locations.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys working closely with commercial stakeholders while ensuring robust HR operations and compliance. You will be part of a collaborative European HR team, contributing to both day-to-day HR delivery and wider people initiatives.
Employee Support & Advisory
1. Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters
2. Advice line managers on employee relations, people management, and UK employment law
3. Support managers in strengthening engagement and performance in a sales-driven environment
Recruitment & Onboarding / HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
4. Manage full-cycle recruitment for UK sales and office roles, from job brief to onboarding
5. Provide operational HR support across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, HR documents, and accurate digital record keeping
6. Prepare and coordinate monthly payroll and benefits administration with external providers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
7. Collaborate closely with the HR Europe team to ensure consistent processes and best practices
8. Contribute to HR projects, digitalisation efforts, and continuous process improvements
9. Take ownership of ad-hoc HR initiatives and support organisational change activities
10. Degree in Human Resources or CIPD qualification, or comparable practical experience
11. 5–10 years of broad HR generalist experience, ideally within a commercial, office-based or sales‑driven environment
12. Solid, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK HR policies, processes and employment legislation
13. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted, effective relationships at all organisational levels
14. Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive information responsibly
15. Proactive, self‑driven approach with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
16. Strong IT proficiency, including MS Office and experience with HRIS systems
17. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
