We are looking for a driven and strategic National Account Executive to join the Retail team and develop key business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Channel Strategy & KPI Delivery: Achieve KPIs such as turnover growth, gross profit percentage, volume growth, distribution, and cost per litre within agreed annual budget costings.
* Customer & BDM Management: Build and manage relationships with key contacts within your account base to support business growth and customer relationship development.
* Promotional Activity Management: Monitor promotional activity and ensure brand strategies are delivered; analyze sales data to maximize ROI.
* In-Store Execution: Coordinate with the field sales force to ensure products are visible, well-displayed, and aligned with brand expectations.
* Account Planning: Use market data, including EPOS data, to evaluate activity, develop account plans, and maximise opportunities with NAMs and cross-functional teams.
* Budget Management: Manage and track the budget for your customer account portfolio, aligning spend with the business plan and maximising profitability.
* Trade Days & Displays: Organise trade days, depots/stores displays, and trade shows to drive brand presence.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with NPD, logistics, marketing, and other teams on projects and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
What you’ll bring
* Educational background: Business-related degree or equivalent experience.
* FMCG experience: Experience in FMCG, ideally with exposure to marketing, sales promotion, and P&L management.
* Account management: Experience managing key accounts with a focus on head office management and customer relationship development.
* Market intelligence: Ability to analyse market data (EPOS) to create targeted plans and drive growth.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Project management: Experience managing complex projects, including trade days and promotions.
* Travel flexibility: Ability to travel extensively within the UK, including overnight stays as required.
