End User & Onsite Support Specialist (Contract) Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension) Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week on site) Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates Role Purpose As a Desktop Support & Technology Bar Analyst, you will provide 2nd Line IT support across the organisations desktop environments, including Microsoft Windows, Citrix Receiver, MS Office, and various line-of-business applications. Your role is vital in ensuring that our non-trading floor environments run smoothly, addressing and resolving technical issues promptly to maintain productivity. Key Responsibilities: Technology Bar Support:Serve as the first point of contact for IT inquiries at the Technology Bar, assisting colleagues with walk-up and email requests. Incident Management:Answer calls, create tickets, and escalate issues as needed to ensure effective resolution of IT incidents. Video Conferencing Support:Provide primary support for video conferencing systems, ensuring seamless communication across teams. Printer and Equipment Management:Perform daily checks on office printers and meeting room technologies, logging any issues and escalating to 3rd level support when necessary. Laptop Environment Management:Build and maintain laptop environments, ensuring proper configuration and readiness. Project Participation:Engage in IT projects and initiatives, contributing your expertise to enhance our systems and processes. Collaboration:Work closely with the Systems Infrastructure team and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Skills & Experience: Proficiency in desktop support technologies, including Windows OS, SCCM, and application software. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service and support. Ability to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment, providing support in English while considering varying cultural backgrounds. Experience in monitoring and managing incidents through a ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up. Familiarity with workstation hardware and software builds, as well as general desktop operations. Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese would be highly desirable Availability to participate in a shift rota, providing cover between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.
