Are you interested in delivering exciting, innovative flood risk projects in SW England? In this Assistant Project Manager role, within our integrated project teams, you will either assist Project Managers on the delivery of medium-high risk projects, or manage your own smaller, lower risk projects. This role sits within our Project and Programme Delivery Team, leading flood risk management projects with the goal of reducing the risk of flooding to communities and enhancing the environment. There will be opportunity to be involved in the entire project life cycle; from initial strategic planning, through to detailed design and then into construction. You will be a key part of a collaborative working group that includes our supply partners, client representatives, and other technical specialists. You will develop skills in project, commercial, contract and risk management. You will be involved in a range of activities such as data management, researching flood risk areas, setting up new projects, using systems and processes to help manage projects, attend site visits and public exhibition meetings. You will learn how to apply EA legislation, policy, and guidance to deliver benefits for communities and for the environment. This role is ideal for anyone who has some experience in the project delivery environment but wishes to develop project management skills. Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when the need to respond arises. Having an incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and an active way to support communities and prevent harm to the environment.
