Your New Role As a Finance Officer,you'll be at the heart of the Accounts Payable and payroll operations. You'llensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and employeebenefits, while maintaining strong financial controls and clear audit trails.Your responsibilities will include: Processing supplier invoices and payments, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining audit-ready records. Preparing journals,reconciling balance sheets, and managing procurement card and bankreconciliations. Supporting payroll andbenefits administration, including pensions and eye care schemes. Managing the onlineexpenses system and ensuring policy compliance. Providing financialguidance to non-finance colleagues and supporting training initiatives. Coordinating theFinance Helpdesk mailbox and acting as the team's data champion. Assisting with audits,system administration, and reporting. What You'll Need to Succeed We're looking for adetail-oriented, proactive professional with: AAT Level 3qualification (minimum). Experience infinancial operations, ideally within the public or civil service sector. Strong organisationaland administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellentcommunication skills and confidence in advising on financial policies. A collaborativemindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: Knowledge of publicsector finance and payroll processes. Familiarity with GDPRand data protection regulations.
