Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Our Cardio-Respiratory Units are friendly, busy, and rapidly expanding diagnostic services. We operate a cardiac catheterisation laboratory at King George Hospital offering diagnostic coronary angiography, pacemaker, ILR, ICD and CRT-D implantation, and transoesophageal echocardiography. We also provide services from community settings, including the Community Diagnostic Centre at Barking Hospital and the St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.
Main duties of the job
* Provide a high-quality, appropriate and effective Cardio-Respiratory investigation service.
* Supervise, guide and support all junior members of staff.
* Be responsible for the organisation and delivery of a specialist area of responsibility as allocated by the Lead Cardiac Physiologist.
* Offer a comprehensive range of investigations, including:
o Resting ECGs
o 24-hour ECG and blood pressure monitoring
o Event recording
o Transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiography
o Pacemaker/ICD/CRTD/ILR follow-up
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
* BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent experience/knowledge.
* Post-graduate education, courses, training or equivalent in Cardiology subspecialty areas.
Experience / Knowledge
* Routine Electrocardiography on both adults and children.
* Experience with pacemaker follow-up and reprogramming.
* Experience with transthoracic echocardiography and willingness to work towards BSE Adult Accreditation.
* Experience with invasive investigations.

Salary
£45,953 to £54,254 per annum, inclusive.
