Your new company Birmingham City Council's SENAR service is seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused Temporary Business Support Officer to support the production of high‑quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This role is offered on a temporary basis for approximately six months and plays an important part in ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive plans that accurately reflect their needs in line with statutory requirements. Your new role In this position, you will assist with drafting clear, accurate and legally compliant EHCPs, working from assessment reports and professional advice. You will help ensure that each section of the plan fully reflects the child or young person's needs, outcomes and required provision in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice. The role involves liaising closely with SEN Caseworkers, professionals and families to gather, interpret and record essential information, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection.
