MST-FIT (Multisystemic Therapy – Family Integrated Transitions) is an intensive family and community-based treatment addressing multiple determinants of serious antisocial behavior. MST aims to promote behavior change in the youth’s natural environment, leveraging each system's strengths to facilitate change. Treatment begins while the youth is still in placement and is adapted to promote successful community reintegration post-placement. The MST-FIT Therapist will ensure adherence to the model’s specifications while employing the MST-FIT approach throughout a 46-bed adolescent female Rapid Intervention Center and Group Residence.
Reports to: Supervisor of Multi Systemic Therapy- Family Integrated Transitions (MST-FIT)
Location: 337 East 17th Street, NY, NY 10003
Hours: 35 hours (onsite required)
Salary: MSW/MHC Salary - $58K-$65K; NYS LMSW & NYS LMHC Salary Range - $61K-$72K
Major Duties:
* Provide clinically effective, family-based interventions to promote responsible behavior.
* Work with family members to establish clear goals and actively work towards them, focusing on solutions.
* Complete written psycho-social assessments of participants and family/significant others.
* Participate in weekly interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, department meetings, and program events.
* Attend mandatory clinical supervision, consultation, and training sessions.
* Maintain rotating on-call schedule (evenings/weekends).
* Contribute to program evaluation and planning, including documentation, data collection, development, and monitoring of outcomes.
* Maintain mandated paperwork and records in compliance with ACS, OCFS, and GSS PEP Department standards.
* Utilize and practice Sanctuary Model tools to foster a non-violent, trauma-sensitive culture.
* Promote and model the seven Sanctuary Model commitments.
* Integrate the Sanctuary Model SELF framework into daily practice to ensure quality care and a healthy work environment.
Qualifications:
* Masters degree in Social Work required; NYS LMSW certification needed within 6 months of hire, or a Master's in Mental Health Counseling with NYS LMHC certification within 6 months.
* Flexibility to provide emergency coverage, including home visits and court attendances.
* Strong written, verbal, organizational, and prioritization skills.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to use public transportation for meetings and home visits.
* Commitment to strength-based, youth development, and trauma-informed practices.
* Alignment with GSS models of practice, including Sanctuary and ACS principles, to promote safety, permanency, and well-being.
* Physical ability to climb stairs when necessary.
