Youth Worker - Full and Part Time
Full Time - JNC £34,708 - £37,189 pro rata

We are pleased to invite expressions of interest for internal candidates to join the team to enhance our current crisis response service. This will include overnight care for young people in our new "Paddock" model within Breaking the Cycle.
About the Paddock / Crisis Care Service
The Paddock is a newly developed short-term accommodation and support setting providing a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people in crisis, experiencing placement breakdown, or requiring supportive overnight accommodation. The setting supports trauma-informed practice, 1-1 intervention, outdoor activities, and multi-agency working.
Role Overview
Youth Workers within The Paddock will play a key role in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed youth work. You will work as part of a rota supporting a 24/7 operating model, ensuring children feel safe, listened to, and supported during short stays.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver trauma-informed, child-centred youth work interventions.
* Support children through crisis, emotional regulation, and safety planning.
* Contribute to daily records, risk assessments, and summary reports using systems such as LCS.
* Provide support through activities, routines, and 1-1 engagement.
* Work collaboratively with Breaking the Cycle, Strengthening Families, Social Care, EDT, and partner agencies.
* Ensure safe supervision within the property and outdoor spaces.
* Participate in handovers, reflective practice, and team development.
