Clinical Technologist Associate Practitioner (Clinical Engineering/Medical Equipment)
Permanent, Full Time (36 hours per week). 2 posts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position within the Medical Equipment Management Service at Western General Hospital, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service. The role is for an experienced electronic / electro‑mechanical service technician, graduates or technicians from other industry to work within healthcare science as a medical equipment technologist.
Requirements
* Degree, technical HND or equivalent qualification in an electronics or medical engineering discipline.
* Experience of working within an electronic servicing role.
* Self‑motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
* Good interpersonal skills and a flexible, methodical approach to tasks.
* Ability to travel and work at various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.
Key responsibilities
* Support the day‑to‑day running of the medical equipment management service.
* Provide training and support for a wide range of medical equipment across multiple clinical specialties.
* Deliver high‑quality patient services across four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.
* Participate in career development programmes to enhance professional growth.
* Maintain quality focus and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
