Job Description
Overall Objective: As a Catering Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting data related to catering operations. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, process, and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations that optimize catering services and improve overall business performance. You will work closely with various stakeholders including heads of departments, chef team and finance to understand business needs and objectives.
* Data Collection: Gather data from various sources including catering orders, sales records, customer feedback, and operational reports.
* Data Processing: Clean, pre-process, and organise data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Data Analysis: Utilize statistical techniques, data mining, and predictive modelling to extract meaningful insights from the data.
* Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales trends, customer preferences, order volumes, and profitability.
* Trend Analysis: Identify patterns and trends in catering data to anticipate customer demand, seasonal variations, and market trends.
* Forecasting: Develop forecasting models to predict future catering demands and optimize inventory management.
* Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
* Customer Segmentation: Segment customers based on their preferences, behaviour, and demographics to personalize marketing strategies and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Business Strategy: Provide analytical support for strategic decision-making related to pricing, menu selection, marketing campaigns, and expansion opportunities.
* Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and establish data governance policies to maintain data integrity and security.
Forecasting and Planning:
* Contribute to long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.
* Work with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

Qualifications
* Proven experience in data analytics preferably in the catering or hospitality industry.
* Proficiency in statistical analysis tools .
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with catering operations and understanding of food service industry trends is a plus.
