Who are we?

WRAP is a global environmental action NGO transforming food, packaging, textiles and resource use systems in pursuit of circular living.

WRAP are the people who do. We convene. We evidence. We solve. We deliver.

For over 25 years, WRAP has innovated to meet the problems of the day.

We prevent waste and pollution to save money, improve living standards and protect natural habitats. We reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water stress to strengthen resilience and help meet environmental goals. We improve resource use to increase productivity and growth.

Across the world, we bring more than 1,000 businesses together with governments and civil society to tackle environmental challenges that require the collective action of many.

Join us at WRAP and you'll drive important change to embed circular living in every boardroom and in every home.

The role

As our Project Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring our funding is managed effectively and transparently, helping WRAP maximise our impact globally.

You’ll join our Finance team and work closely with project teams, taking on the financial administration of a portfolio of funded projects. This is a hands‑on role where your work directly supports delivery, strengthens donor confidence and enables better decision‑making.

Responsibilities

* Manage the day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of funded projects, ensuring income and expenditure are recorded accurately and in line with donor requirements.
* Prepare clear, timely financial reports for funders and support responses to donor queries, audits and returns.
* Work with project teams to develop and maintain robust budgets and forecasts, including staff costs, suppliers, sub‑grants and subcontractors.
* Track project performance, identifying risks such as under‑ or over‑spend, exchange rate exposure or funding gaps, and escalating issues early.

Qualifications & Experience

* Experience managing the finances of projects, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
* Strong Excel skills, with experience working with financial data to monitor performance and produce clear reports.
* Confidence working with non‑finance colleagues, translating financial information into practical insight that supports delivery.
* Experience working at a charity, NGO or complex global organisation.

About WRAP

WRAP is a climate action NGO working around the globe to tackle the causes of the climate crisis and give the planet a sustainable future. Our vision is a thriving world in which climate change is no longer a problem.

At WRAP we believe that our natural resources shouldn't be wasted. And that everything we use should be re‑used and recycled. Our mission is to make the world a more sustainable place. We bring people together, we act on the facts, and we drive change.

Our core purpose is to help tackle climate change and protect our planet by changing the way things are produced, consumed and disposed of.

If you join us at WRAP - and we think you should - you'll help us by tackling sustainable product design, reducing waste, encouraging re‑use or advocating recycling across the food and drink, plastic packaging, clothing and textiles and the collections and recycling sectors.

You can help us all to do better.
