Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Lawyer to join the compliance function of the team at Teledyne. You will report to the General Counsel for Digital Imaging (Europe, EMEA and APAC).
Responsibilities
* Compliance and Risk Management: Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, including our ethics and data privacy programs; Assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks related to business operations.
* Corporate Governance: Maintain corporate records and filings; Support the preparation of board resolutions and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
* Legal Advisory: Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to internal teams on a variety of matters, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters; Conduct legal research and draft memos, policies, and guidelines as needed.
* Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing disputes and litigation, including coordinating with external counsel when necessary; Help resolve internal and external legal issues efficiently and effectively.
* Mergers and Acquisitions: Assist with due diligence of potential acquisition targets and the integration of newly acquired businesses.
* Reviewing and advising on NDAs and other commercial agreements.
* Training and Education: Help deliver training sessions to staff on legal topics, such as data protection, intellectual property, or contract management.
Experience
* Legal experience (1 year, required)
* Commercial experience or experience in reviewing commercial contracts
* Commercial awareness
