This field-based position requires candidates to travel to various project sites for installation and maintenance in the UK. Responsibilities Execute cable running and equipment installation on-site, adhering to project guidelines and timelines for various AV & IoT projects. Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and equipment-related issues to ensure seamless project execution Maintain accurate documentation of cable layouts, connections, and configurations. Coordinate with project stakeholders to guarantee smooth communication and coordination. Stay updated with the latest AV and IoT technologies, trends, and installation techniques. Assist in conducting system tests to verify proper connectivity and functionality. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site. This field-based role requires travel to project sites for installation and maintenance. Provide excellent customer service to clients. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus. Proven experience as a Data Cabling Technician or similar role. Familiarity with AV and IoT technologies, concepts, and installation practices. Strong understanding of cable types, terminations, and installation methods. Proficiency in using cabling tools and equipment, including cable testers and crimping tools. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and installation plans. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and ability to work in different environments and conditions. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and tasks. Prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks within project deadlines. A passion for technology, a quick learner, and an aptitude for staying updated with industry advancements.
