About The Role
Due to growth within the team, a vacancy has arisen for a Hygiene Supervisor. The role will be covering Hygiene, GMP and Factory Floor Standards. The main purpose of this position is to manage the requirements within the department – effectively and efficiently – through the optimum use of people, materials and plant / equipment / machinery, in order to achieve output requirements in compliance with company / site / legislative standards of quality, quantity, cost and timescale.
The successful candidate must have outstanding communication skills and have experience of leading and developing teams as well as having a minimum of 2 years in a Hygiene position.
Shifts: Shift pattern and working hours will be discussed in interview.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Ensure a safe working environment for the employees in the department.
2. Ensure all scheduled cleans are completed and communicated
3. Working directly with the Technical and Production Departments to ensure the highest food safety and hygiene standards are embedded throughout the team
4. Planning, organising and monitoring the team in order to achieve or exceed the expected performance levels
5. Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are implemented, maintained and improved.
6. To be aware of all food industry cleaning chemicals their use, mixing strengths and precautions.
7. Monitor the work of Hygiene Operatives whilst performing their tasks.
8. Control of site PPE, inventory and issuance.
Experience Required:
9. Previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment.
10. Supervisory experience.
11. Good working knowledge of the BRC hygiene regulations and practices
12. Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety
13. Chemical Handling Training
14. COSHH Training
15. Ability to prioritise tasks, effective planner, attention to detail and articulate manner.
