What you'll be doing As the Area Sales Manager, you will maximize sales in your designated region by promoting industrial Pumps and other ancillary process equipment offered by SPX Flow Technology. You will report to the North Europe Sales Manager. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Carefully plan territory coverage to ensure that the area is systematically covered and unproductive sales effort is kept to a minimum Keep reporting and forward planning up-to-date, together with input into the CRM database. Effectively promote company products and services to existing and potential customers to achieve defined sales quota. Ensure that all quotations are processed as quickly and economically as possible using data from both internal and external sources. Maintain database with regard to technical specifications and client base and ensure that all quotations are properly evaluated. Provide technical information to the client, internal sales engineers and the engineering department regarding inquiries and maintain up-to-date records. Assess competitor activity and take appropriate action in determining priorities and strategies. Keep up-to-date with new developments and prepare accurate and timely reports on relevant competitors' activities. Carry out other duties as assigned by your supervisor or the Management team. Proven sales record is preferred. Sound commercial experience in a relevant industry sector. Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings and complex specifications. Experience with sales order entry and bills of materials. Computer literate with experience of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM. Driving license. Soft skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers and contractors at all levels. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Good initiative and ability to work independently. Attention to detail. Team player who can enthuse other staff members. Drive, enthusiasm, and a determination to succeed with a "Can Do" attitude. Highly organised with excellent time management skills. A target-driven individual who thrives on challenges.
