Job OverviewJob Purpose
The Electrician will carry out electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance works across schools, care homes, and social housing properties throughout Gloucestershire. The role requires a high standard of workmanship, strong compliance with health & safety regulations, and a professional, customer-focused approach.
This is a varied position where no two days are the same, ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
2. Complete remedial, planned, and reactive electrical works
3. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
4. Work independently and as part of a wider team
5. Accurately complete documentation using tablets and reporting systems
6. Support and assist in the training of apprentices when required
7. Maintain compliance with current wiring regulations and health & safety legislation
Essential Requirements
8. Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
9. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
10. City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing
11. Proven experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance
12. Good understanding of health & safety regulations
13. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
14. Confident using tablets for reports and certification
15. Full UK Driving Licence
