Location: Chandlers Ford with 2 days per week in Hutwood Court offices
Salary: Circa £75,000 plus bonus up to 15%
Hours: 40 hrs per week + on-call

Role Overview
This role involves managing the Infrastructure Platforms Team, overseeing design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems. It combines strategic planning, people management, and technical expertise to deliver robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure services both on-premises and in the cloud. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will champion best practices, drive continuous improvement, and serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
The role includes supporting all Infrastructure Platforms related questions and issues, balancing technical and leadership responsibilities, and managing existing Infrastructure Engineers in maintaining on-premise and cloud infrastructure for projects and services. Responsibilities include design, procurement, installation, upgrades, operation, control, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure components such as network, storage, virtualization, and compute.
Candidate Profile
Extensive experience in Infrastructure Platforms, team leadership, and management skills are essential. Excellent communication and scheduling skills are needed to manage workload and stakeholder relationships. Technical environment includes server and network hardware, virtualization, storage, server OS, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, web services, databases, security products, automation, IaC technologies, and Azure cloud computing.
Additional Information
This role involves on-call work on a rota basis (24/7). Successful candidates may need to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
