Job Description:
Job purpose:
The security analyst will join a small security team for a client in Central London. You will be a subject matter expert on all aspects of security, including mail security, web security, infrastructure security, and end-user device security.
The security analyst plays a key role in driving and improving technology security within the organization, providing expert advice and reliable guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
* Proactively assess device and application logs for security vulnerabilities, investigate causes, and resolve or mitigate vulnerabilities.
* Lead investigations of security breaches and cyber incidents, providing timely resolutions.
* Install security updates/measures in line with best practices to protect against cyber threats.
* Coordinate with third parties and internal teams to schedule penetration tests and address vulnerabilities.
* Support security training for end users.
* Monitor potential security risks and provide expert advice.
* Conduct regular security assessments of key services.
* Assess third-party security compliance.
* Work with operational teams to evaluate and adopt security design principles.
* Advise end users on cybersecurity matters.
* Collaborate on cybersecurity audits and follow-up actions.
* Manage creation and updates of security policies.
* Promote a respectful and inclusive working environment.
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
* Experience as an effective Security Analyst.
* Strong understanding of mail filtering technologies.
* Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and encryption.
* Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Purview.
* Understanding of security frameworks like NIST and Cyber Essentials.
* Ability to manage third-party providers.
* Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
* Experience implementing security configurations for devices.
* Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and Azure security tools.
* Experience in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
* Experience testing new security solutions.
