Radiology Assistant Plymouth Hospital | Admin | Permanent | Full Time 37.5 hours per week £24,043.50 per annum We currently have an opportunity for a Radiology Administrator at Nuffield Hospital Plymouth. The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering all modalities including General Radiography, Theatre, Ultrasound, MRI & CT. As a Radiology Administrator you will be an integral part of our team that provides excellent patient care. You will work closely with patients, Radiographers, Radiologists, Consultants & all departments across Plymouth Nuffield Hospital. You will have enthusiasm, dedication, commitment and a keen eye for attention to detail to provide and deliver a high quality diagnostic imaging service whist undertaking a wide variety of duties. H elping to facilitate accurate documentation, efficient patient flow, and effective communication throughout the department. As a Radiology Administrator, you will: · Use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships with patients, staff and Consultants. · Schedule radiology appointments, manage radiology diaries and maintain databases whilst adhering to GDPR. · Manage a busy p hone, processing queries and dealing with enquiries. · Download and transfer images between hospitals. · Distribute imaging reports to referring clinicians. · Have the ability to manage high-volume workflow. · Y ou will support the small team by preparing clinical paperwork, referral forms and charge sheets, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly To succeed as a Radiology Administrator, you will have: · Great communication, organisational & analytical skills. · The ability to explain sensitive or complicated information in a clear, sympathetic and easily understood way. · Ideally, you will have experience of working within Healthcare administration or Radiology reception. · Good IT and keyboard skills (NVQ level 2 in business administration desirable) · Knowledge of clinical terminology (desirable) · Knowledge of RIS/PACS (desirable) Helping you feel good.
