We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while ensuring the comfort and well-being of those we serve.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
* Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Skills
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* Proficiency in IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as required.
