As the Portfolio Management Lead, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence. This role is also about shaping the future-developing inclusive strategies, managing risk, and ensuring financial sustainability. You'll champion equality, innovation, and collaboration, while embedding a culture of learning and empowerment across teams.

If you're a visionary leader with a passion for public service, strategic planning, and programme delivery, we want to hear from you.

About You

You're a strategic and results-driven leader with a strong background in managing complex change programmes and portfolios. With a degree or equivalent qualification, you bring deep knowledge of project management, procurement, financial control, and legal frameworks in a project environment.

You have a proven track record of delivering high-value (£10m+) programmes, developing business cases, and leading PMO functions from inception to completion. Your ability to simplify complex information, influence diverse stakeholders-including government and senior leadership-and navigate evolving policy landscapes sets you apart.
