Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Manager with at least two years’ recruitment experience to support our company’s continued growth. Within Reach is a supported living and residential care provider supporting both vulnerable children and adults in a number of homes across Gloucester.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in recruitment and will be a key team member of two: line managing the Recruitment Co‑ordinator, leading on all aspects of the staff recruitment, and supporting the Operations Manager with day‑to‑day tasks across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Leading on all aspects of the recruitment cycle from vacancy creation through to offer and onboarding, ensuring staffing levels across children’s residential homes are maintained safely and effectively
* Line management of the Recruitment Co‑ordinator
* Conducting screening calls and interviews, drawing on your recruitment experience to assess candidate suitability with particular attention to safeguarding awareness, values, and resilience for working with vulnerable children and young people
* Managing enhanced DBS checks, barred list checks, and referencing processes in line with Ofsted safer recruitment requirements
* Ensuring all right‑to‑work checks are completed accurately and stored securely in personnel files
* Coordinating with Registered Managers to understand staffing needs, shift patterns, and the specific requirements of each home
* Monitoring and replying to recruitment enquiries across Indeed, social media, and other platforms, managing high volumes of candidates efficiently
* Using your recruitment knowledge to update and improve job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the nature of children’s residential care roles and attract the right calibre of candidate
* Tracking recruitment data, reporting on pipeline progress, time‑to‑hire, and vacancies to senior management, using your experience to identify trends and recommend improvements
* Supporting the Operations Manager with general day‑to‑day operational tasks as required
* Keeping up to date with changes to Ofsted regulations, safer recruitment guidance, and sector best practice relevant to children’s services recruitment
Essential Criteria
* At least 2 years’ experience working in a recruitment role, with demonstrable experience in CV screening, candidate screening, and arranging interviews
* Knowledge of Right to Work eligibility and criteria
* Experience with overseas checks and requirements
* Familiarity with e‑visa rules and regulations
* Understanding of DBS requirements and associated rules and regulations
* Excellent IT and technical skills, with at least two years’ confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, applicant tracking systems, and the Indeed platform
* Proven ability to manage and coordinate large volumes of candidates across Indeed, social media, and other channels
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including phone manner and interview technique
* A high level of motivation, initiative, and a willingness to learn
* Positive, friendly, hardworking team player with the ability to refine and enhance current processes and workflows
* Ability to work alongside the recruitment team, Operations Manager, and other professionals involved with the business
Desirable Criteria
* Recruitment experience within the care industry, including any experience recruiting in an Ofsted-regulated environment
* Understanding of safer recruitment practices within children’s services
* Previous line management experience
