This role is to assist the Neuro Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist in providing a high standard therapy service to in-patients at St. Helier Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable therapy assistant to join our in‑patient team, assisting the Neuro therapists in their work.
Responsibilities
* Assisting the Neuro Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in delivering a high standard therapy service to in-patients.
* Providing direct patient care for complex neurological conditions, working with a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
* Patient‑facing work on hospital wards, including critical care, with some unsupervised clinical work as competence allows.
* Performing administrative tasks and other duties such as cleaning and sorting equipment.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic and reliable therapy assistant.
* Committed to providing excellent patient care and able to work as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Physically fit to carry out the rehabilitative/mobility work required.
* Willing and able to take on new challenges, knowledge and skills.
Working Hours
* Part‑time, includes weekend work on a rota basis.
