An established and forward-thinking RIBA-chartered architectural practice is seeking a talented Architect to join its growing team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Architect to take a key role in the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors, within a supportive and collaborative studio environment. About the Role This is a full-time hybrid position, based primarily in Newcastle upon Tyne, with flexibility for some remote working. Due to the collaborative nature of the role, candidates should be based in or within reasonable commuting distance of Newcastle. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering architectural solutions across all RIBA stages, managing packages of work and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to a high design and technical standard. Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of architectural projects across all RIBA stages Develop strong conceptual, planning, and technical design solutions Prepare and coordinate detailed architectural drawings and specifications using Revit Manage architectural packages and support project delivery within agreed timeframes Coordinate and integrate designs with consultants, systems, and wider project requirements Contribute to and manage planning applications, technical submissions, and site stages Attend and lead meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors as required Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, standards, and best practice Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project outcomes Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) ARB-registered Architect (or working toward registration, if applicable) Demonstrable experience working across all RIBA stages Strong expertise in architecture and architectural design Proficiency in Revit (essential) Strong conceptual thinking and graphical communication skills Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities Good working knowledge of UK building regulations and planning processes Desirable Experience working within a UK-based architectural practice Experience across multiple sectors (e.g. residential, commercial, education, healthcare, mixed-use) Understanding of sustainable and inclusive design principles Confidence managing small to medium-sized projects or work packages What’s on Offer Competitive salary dependent on experience £38,000 - £45,000 per annum.
