AfC Band 8c (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,818.72 per annum (pro rata) and a High Secure Clinical Responsibility Allowance of £4,365.11 per annum (pro rata)

Post Details
Consultant psychologist based in the Intellectual Disability Service of the State Hospital. The service is underpinned by the Positive Behavioural Support model and comprises two six‑beded wards for male patients. The postholder will oversee psychological input for all patients, manage a small clinical caseload, and supervise other psychological services colleagues. The psychologist works closely with multidisciplinary team members and will also be a member of the psychology senior leadership team, with opportunities for departmental and board‑wide responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide psychological assessment and input for all patients in the Intellectual Disability service.
* Manage a small clinical caseload of patients.
* Supervise and manage other psychologists within the service.
* Collaborate daily with multidisciplinary team members.
* Serve on the psychology senior leadership team and contribute to department and board‑wide initiatives.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills.
* Considerable forensic psychology experience.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
