As a Behaviour Specialism Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them re-engage with learning and develop positive strategies for success both in and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs.
* Implement behaviour regulation strategies and de-escalation techniques effectively.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive attitudes toward learning.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams.
* Support students’ emotional wellbeing, resilience, and social development.
* Develop personalised behaviour support plans and monitor progress.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with pupils with behavioural, SEMH, or additional needs.
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and behaviour intervention strategies.
* Patience, resilience, and a commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
