Job Description:
Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator for their LEQ team. This role focuses on environmental sustainability initiatives, project management, community engagement, and stakeholder coordination within Northern Ireland.
About Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful: A charity dedicated to improving the environment and communities through local initiatives and promoting sustainable living.
Role Overview: Coordinate and manage environmental quality programs, supervise departmental officers, and ensure effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources and ensure timely delivery of programs.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote participation and expand coverage.
5. Communications: Serve as the primary contact, represent the charity, and create content.
6. Research Support: Assist with research and policy analysis.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications and marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Relevant degree or 3 years' experience, 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, 1 year supervising staff. Desirable: Data analysis, voluntary sector, or local government experience.
Skills: Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office). Full driving license and access to transport.
Knowledge & Understanding: Essential: Environmental issues. Desirable: Behavior change principles.
Personal Qualities: Independent and team working, interpersonal skills, organizational skills.
Additional Requirements: Occasional travel, flexible hours, core hours 10am-4pm, hybrid work (2 days in Belfast).
Salary: £30,328. Contract: Permanent, subject to funding. Funded by DAERA Environment Fund.
