We’re seeking a warm, patient, and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to work with babies aged 9 to 24 months in a nurturing primary school setting in North Tyneside.

Your Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll be providing essential care and learning support for babies aged 9–24 months. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the developmental needs of babies and toddlers
Creating a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment
Engaging little ones in sensory and play-based learning
Supporting early communication, motor skills, and emotional development
Maintaining strong relationships with staff and families
Assisting with feeding, nappy changing, and personal care routines
Observing and reporting on developmental milestones
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with babies or toddlers in a childcare or early years setting
An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Knowledge or experience of supporting very young children with additional needs (SEND)
A caring, calm, and patient approach
A strong team player who can follow routines and communicate effectively with staff and parents
