Job Opportunity: Accounts Assistant
We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance department. The successful candidate will report to the accountant and will manage both purchase ledger and sales ledger operations.
1. Code and input invoices and credits, ensuring appropriate authorization.
2. Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
3. Generate supplier payment runs and send remittances.
4. Handle multi-currency payment entries onto the bank and allocate to supplier accounts.
5. Maintain the purchase ledger and resolve any queries.
6. Conduct credit control and debt collection, proactively monitoring and chasing aged debt via telephone.
7. Allocate bank receipts, bank incoming cheques, and cash.
8. Assist with customer queries, directing them to relevant departments as necessary.
9. Maintain and update customer information.
10. Review credit limits and distribute monthly statements.
11. Generate customer credit notes as required.
Qualifications: Preferably AAT qualified.
