Overview
As a Head Chef at HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything you do. You will lead a kitchen team in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes, focusing on delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that residents will genuinely enjoy. You will consider individual dietary needs, cultural preferences, and nutritional requirements while ensuring hygiene and safety across the kitchen. You will work with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence and run a smooth, well-organised operation that shapes mealtimes into enjoyable, ambient dining experiences.
Responsibilities
* Inspire and lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that residents enjoy.
* Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including stock, budgets, and supplier orders.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP) and maintain high hygiene practices.
* Collaborate with central teams to uphold nutritional excellence.
* Create a welcoming and ambient dining experience at mealtimes.
Qualifications
* An S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
* A minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
* A good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
