IT Engineer
Working with the Head of IT this role will be providing 1st/2nd line IT support to all staff worldwide. Strong experience with Windows Server 2016 upwards and desktop Windows 10/11 is essential. You will also have Linux knowledge and the role will also require some knowledge of networking
*Important - Applicants must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years, be eligible to work in the UK unrestricted and be willing / eligible to hold SC clearance*
Responsibilities
* Initial support call/ticket handling
* Responsible for providing IT support and troubleshooting to all Telesoft staff worldwide via telephone and remote support software
* Windows Desktop, Server and Network troubleshooting
* PC/Server Hardware deployment & troubleshooting
* Liaison with 3rd party vendors/suppliers when required
* Day to day management of system patch management, audit, antivirus and backups
* IT Asset management
* Procurement of IT consumables
* Support internal IT Project implementations
* Linux Desktop & Server troubleshooting
Qualifications
Must have:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an IT functional role in Engineering, IT or related business areas.
* Windows desktop (10,11) and Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
* Knowledge of IP networks including LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Routing
* Software Experience – Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office Applications, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, Sage 200, Atlassian Jira
* Telephone and Remote IT Support
* Active Directory, EntraID
* PC/Server Hardware
* Apple Device Deployment and Troubleshooting
Highly Advantageous
* Using Linux in an enterprise environment
Desirable:
* Virtualisation
* Knowledge of working in-line with ISO9001 and ISO27001
