About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail focused Data Project Officer to support a project to ensure that information held within HR is prepared for Local Government Reorganisation.
You will play a central part in reviewing our HR records to ensure compliance with the retention schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Reviewing, organising and categorising HR records across both physical files and digital systems.
* Applying retention schedules and supporting compliant disposal of information.
* Supporting the build, testing and roll out of a new document management system.
* Providing updates on progress, risks and milestones.
* Working collaboratively with IT, Information Governance and external suppliers to support secure, compliant data handling.
About You
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital filing systems.
* Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
* Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
* Clear communicator with a systematic, methodical approach.
* Knowledge of GDPR/retention rules (or interest in learning).
Job Details
This is a full‑time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed‑term contract for 12 months. The role offers hybrid working, with a mix of home working and required attendance at both the Maidstone and Swale offices.
