Based just outside Liverpool, this business has built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and integrity – and now needs a dynamic Financial Controller to help steer the next phase of growth.
You’ll report directly into a supportive and forward-thinking Managing Director who values insight, collaboration, and commercial drive. This is a chance to step into a key leadership role within a transformational, fast-paced environment where your impact will be visible and valued.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for:
* Overseeing the financial performance of the business and driving profitability
* Managing a small, capable finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day transactional processes
* Producing accurate management accounts, financial reporting, cashflow and cost management
* Working closely with directors and stakeholders to identify and deliver process improvements
* Providing commercial insight to improve job margins, efficiencies, and decision-making
* Taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving, system improvements, and business partnering
This is ideal for someone who’s hit a ceiling in their current role and is now looking for a bigger challenge and clear progression.
About You
You’ll be a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being hands-on while adding strategic value.
You will ideally have:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or be Qualified by Experience)
* Experience within manufacturing, construction, or engineering sectors (advantageous)
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Xero or Sage
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
