Role Description
The Software Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Windsor. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of software engineers to design, implement, and maintain world-class audio software solutions. Responsibilities include overseeing the delivery of projects, mentoring and developing the engineering talent, and ensuring the team's alignment with organizational goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, actively contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure best practices for software development are followed. Your contribution will play a key role in driving innovation and the evolution of Focusrite’s audio products.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading software engineering teams and mentoring engineers
- Proficiency in software development and engineering practices, including coding, debugging, and agile methodologies
- Experience with designing software architecture and ensuring code quality through reviews and testing
- Knowledge of audio software development, digital signal processing (DSP), or real-time systems is highly desirable
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and work closely with product, design, and hardware teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to deliver projects on time
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Passion for music and familiarity with audio production tools is a plus
